Paul poyner

Lead Pastor

Paul Poyner has been the Lead Pastor at Gulfview Grace since 2013. Prior to this he was the Pastor to Students for 17 years. He is a devoted follower of Jesus, committed husband to His amazing wife Tandy (married 1998), and loving dad to five: Keelen, Kaden, Kyren, Kenslee, and Kambree. In 2022, his family experienced sudden growth as two of his oldest sons got married and now Paul and Tandy have two “Bonus Daughters”, Zoelle and Abbie. Paul had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and has been a pastor's kid all of his life. He has practically lived and breathed ministry since the day he was born. His father was the founding pastor of Gulfview Grace in 1981. Paul has a passion to bring God's Word to life, to make it relevant in one's life, and to help others apply it to their life. Paul has attended Moody Bible Institute, Grace College, and holds a Master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Most importantly, he is a committed lifelong learner. Paul loves the Lord, loves his church family, is a gifted communicator, and has God given abilities in the areas of leadership and counseling.

Mark Trumble

Discipleship Pastor

Mark first started attending Gulfview around 2007, shortly after having graduated high school, when he was invited by a friend. He attended Momentum Youth Conference in 2008, where God got a hold of his heart. Mark then began studying God’s Word enthusiastically wanting to learn more about this new relationship with Jesus and what role he played in the church. In February 2013, Mark married Krystal, whom he met here within the Gulfview family. One thing that drew the two of them together was their passion for serving the Lord and their genuine heart for serving others. They have two children, Theodore and Elliot. Before coming on staff, Mark served in several different ministries within the church: youth leader, praise team, sound tech, and small group leader, just to name a few. Mark now serves as our Discipleship Pastor and oversees our church's Life Groups and Discipleship Pathway. He holds a Bachelor's in Ministry Leadership from Grace College.

KRYSTAL TRUMBLE

Administrative Assistant

We first met Krystal back in 2009 when a friend invited her to attend Youth Group. After a year of faithfully attending, Krystal began to sense God working in her life and came to a realization of her need for a relationship with Jesus and committed her life to Him. Krystal is married to Mark Trumble and mother to two sweet boys, Theodore and Elliot. Mark and Krystal were both drawn together because of their passion and love to serve Christ and others, especially in the local church. They now get to live this out together daily as they both serve on staff. Krystal stepped into her role as the Administrative Assistant in 2013 and has been helping with the daily operations of the church, events, and ministries. She loves the opportunity she gets to regularly use her God-given ability for designing creative elements. Her design fingerprints are literally on every piece of print and digital content that Gulfview creates to help us all reflect, rescue, and renovate lives for Christ.

Kaylie Reyes

Children’s Ministry Director

Kaylie Reyes is the Children’s Ministry Director at Gulfview Grace. Although she is a newer addition to the Gulfview Grace staff team, officially hired in January of 2023, her story doesn’t start there.  Her connection with Gulfview Grace all started with her older brother, Dustin Zerwas. Kaylie grew up in our youth group from the years of 2013-2018. She attended and graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute. If you could learn one thing from her life journey thus far, she would want you to know this, “Even when I wasn’t faithful, God is still faithful.” In April of 2020, Kaylie married the love of her life, Carlos Reyes. Their family is growing and are extremely blessed to have two boys: CJ and Axel. They strive to find joy, love, and peace through the moments of everyday life. Carlos and Kaylie faithfully serve as Youth Leaders in our youth group and have a strong passion to reflect the love of Christ to every child and teenager that comes their way.
